Flatmates Candle Co. is a small, local Vancouver company founded by two flatmates turned friends turned business partners.

They handcraft eco friendly soy wax candles poured into one of a kind, individually sourced vintage vessels.

The business was born out of the Flatmates’ shared love languages of gifting and their desire to make gifting good, intentional, slow and treasured.

We used antique elements throughout the design.
This can be seen in the containing shapes, hand drawn fine lines, occasional decorative scrolls, elegant, serif type and a colour palette straight out of a moody renaissance painting.
During the research and ideation phase, we discovered a window was a fitting, comforting and wonderfully romantic symbol for Flatmates as the company was founded and forged in their home.
The window can be seen in the main logo, as well as a versatile container shape that adds a little edge to the branding.
