Who is Kate Davies?

Glad you asked.

I’m a Brand and Graphic Designer specializing in identity, strategy, and crafting visuals and experiences that feel authentic and build meaningful brand worlds.
I also love working across packaging, illustration, merch, digital, UI/UX, art direction, and creative copy.

I’m a lifelong creative inspired by Old Masters paintings, innovative packaging, expressive typography, branding and creative experiences that feel honest and unexpected. I design with purpose and am driven by my values, always trying to bring a human, thoughtful touch to what I do.

Right now, I’m Lead Creative Designer/Art Director at Best Buy Canada, where I help shape national campaigns and collaborate with brands like Nintendo, Samsung, and Apple.

I’m currently leading a full rebrand of Best Buy’s visual identity and just helped launch the Nintendo Switch 2.

I just made some exciting printed materials and merch for
The Dime on the Drive’s activation at Italian Day 2025.

I leaned into the theme of the day and The Dime’s grungy feel by creating a design system with retro Italian deli inspired tickets, fonts and other elements.
These came together in such a fun and on brand way for their feature menus, posters and sandwich boards. I was also tasked with making merch for the staff to wear that can also be worn year round and sold to customers in their store (so it couldn’t be too Italian themed or uniform-y) - what better way to do this than creating a custom metal band shirt that upon closer inspection actually says ‘garlic bread’.
